This Week's Big New Beer Labels

Happy Label Wednesday, friends - the best day of the week for lovers of beer art and whatever news we can try to suss out from the things that breweries send through the TTB. Here’s what we’ve rustled up this week for…

The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:

In recent years, almost every single TTB submission I’ve seen from Half Acre has been a keg ring.1 This makes any actual beer label — let alone an extension for an existing IPA - a pretty big deal, if only because we get to get excited about a new beer that could go widely through distribution.

We’re reaching the end of Reef Knot / Green Torch season, so maybe it’s time to shake up the lineup a bit. This beer just got listed on BA last week but I don’t see it on Untappd yet (there’s a Sunset Vallejo tho!) so … let’s just see what happens here.

Up next for our Premium Subscribers: Two more labels from big Chicago breweries, a new type of collaboration I’ve not seen before, a big OH beer potentially being brewed by a big MI brewery, big news for macro-lager-brand-extension fans, and the first big beer to be brewed by this year’s big acquisition.

So, uh, yeah, big stuff.
