Here’s some fun news I spotted today, brought to us by what I believe to be the very first LinkedIn post I’ve ever shared in these emails:
Randy Mosher has another book coming out soon.
If the author of the legendary Tasting Beer is coming out with another book about tasting…a bunch of other stuff, well, that’s something that I’m interested in and I figured you would be too.
The other major development in the Chicagoland beer scene this week? Revolution Brewing officially entered the THC/CBD-drink space, with Reverb:
Get it? Reverb? Rev(olution h)erb? Pretty clever, honestly. (And now I get why
has been talking about grape flavors recently.) It’s odd thinking about Rev being late to a beverage space, given that they were one of the original craft beer pioneers of Chicagoland, but breweries like Hopewell and Marz have been leading the way there for a few years now. I assume there’s still space out there for another entry, especially for a brewery with as big of a footprint as Rev.Speaking of Marz, you can and should check out this week’s Beer Temple podcast for an interesting discussion between Marz’s Ed Marzewski and Rev’s Josh Deth on the topic.
Time for a poll!
At the risk of skewing the results, I will mention that I have a few THC beverages in the fridge … which have been sitting there, unopened, for weeks. I’ll get around to ‘em at some point.
What’s next in the not-beer-from-beermaker product release? Well, I’d keep an eye on this Stay Blue Water account that just popped up this week...

Shout out to all the breweries I saw celebrating Pride Month, including Half Acre, Spiteful, Hop District, Lakefront, Third Space, Modist (love this Pink Reaper Club artwork), (and this is not in any way a complete list of participating breweries, just the ones I spotted this week).
