After a slow start to the year, the imagery ice floe has shattered, the label log jam has been broken up, and we thankfully have a new wave of beer offerings to look at this week. (Okay, probably more like the TTB came back from holiday PTO.)
Our Premium Subscribers have a lot to look at this week:
Two breweries adding their own branded wines
One STL brewery going big on America (and probably not the one you think it is)
A couple cool-looking coffee blonde ales (one with a delicious-sounding extra ingredient)
Another brewery/distillery getting into the RTD game
A sorceress, a “soda,” and a bay leaf beer…
…and more! If you’re not already a Premium Subscriber, you know what to do:
For less than the cost of 1/15th of a Busch Light 30-brick per week (I think I did the math right on this), all of this info could be yours!
The New Illinois Beer Label Of The Week:
This pale ale looks like the first beer to be released from the Brew Werks & Distillery at the Historic Red Rooster Inn in downstate Hillsboro (about halfway between Springfield and STL).
I don’t see any info about their beer or spirits on their site yet, but any place that combines a 120-year-old hotel with a brewery and a distillery — and doesn’t allow tipping, citing its historical link to slavery and stating that they pay a reliable wage to their employees — well, that puts them on my to-visit list.
