This Week's New Beer Labels Redefine the Concept of Living with Passion and Purpose

Given how many sex-referencing names have been applied to beers by horny immature brewers over the years (especially in the late Aughts / early 10's), I’m a little surprised to discover this week that there are only 16 beers listed on Untappd with the name “kamasutra” and even fewer appear to have ever been produced.

But we’ve got a new one coming out for drinkers in PA, via suburban IL, per the below:

The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:

Samsaric Brewing Company is a Pennsylvania-based nanobrewery that appears to have partnered with Church Street to spin up a packaged version of a beer that - per their “About Us” page - is based on the original Celis recipe, plus passionfruit. Unexplained is how this beer is “redefining the concept of ‘living with passion and purpose’ in a new and exciting way” but I look forward to finding out what the heck that label copy means.

Up next for our Premium Subscribers: Another big Goose barrel-aged beer on the horizon, and a second Rev BA silo can. Plus: A big new Chicago brewery is also finally entering the retail space, it’s kolsch season in Michigan, we take some Applesthesia, and more!

Premium Subscribers get access to all these labels plus exclusive posts, social updates on Friday, access to our back catalog and our gratitude for helping to keep these emails coming out.
