This Week's New Beer Labels - Post-Thanksgiving Hangover Edition
Powered by GuysDrinkingBeer.com
Happy Label Wednesday, y’all! Because of the shortened work week last week we didn’t have a ton of new labels to sort through, and the ones that did get cleared are largely keg rings (bummer) but we did still manage to find a few fun and interesting beer-y things to show off this week.
Premium Subscribers will get a few exclusive first looks at beers from Surly, Lakefront, Great Lakes and maybe Boulevard — you’ll understand the TBD on that shortly. Want to see everything we’ve got? Become a Premium Subscriber today and join all the fun:
And now, since Black Friday BCS runs are fresh on our mind, another barrel-aged beer with a Goose connection leads us off with…
The New Illinois Beer Label Of The Week:
Geese have feathers, and elephants have tusks, and together the mascots (I guess?) of Goose Island and More Brewing create Tusk & Feather, this double-barrel barleywine collab whose label cleared a little while ago.
I will presume that the elephant imagery is related to More’s Roaming Elephant barleywine, which already has a lot going on, barrelwise: “This year’s Roaming Elephant is an exceptional experiment in extended aging [...] Averaging 30 months in Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Heaven Hill, and Barton 1792 barrels.” Dang.
