This Week's New Beer Labels: Our First BCS Variants of 2025 Just Dropped
Powered by potential Black Friday releases
It’s that time of year again, y’all - and a bit early, too. Strap in.
The New Illinois Beer Labels of the Week:
The first batch of this year’s Goose Island Bourbon County Stout variant labels were submitted to the TTB this week, and we’ve pulled every single one of them for our Premium Subscribers.
We don’t have any barrel-specific labels yet - everything so far is an adjuncted variant (okay, one with a cask finish). In all, four new versions of BCS have come through so far, and if you remember the labels that came out last year, not all of them made it to store shelves. Some never emerge - I’m still waiting and hoping for that Pineapple Upside Down Cake BCS - while the beer implied by a BCS Amaro label eventually popped up as last year’s Apertivo Stout (which I found to be delicious).
Goose is no longer in the habit of submitting outright fake labels to the TTB, but as always, these submissions do not mean that these beers are 100% going to make it to full production. If one of the variants in this email doesn’t emerge, I have a guess as to which one it’ll be.
Also up next for our Premium Subscribers: In addition to all the BCS labels, Premium Subscribers will also see a new FFF label, another adjuncted stout from Perennial, a new look at a new line from Pilot Project, and more.
Premium Subscribers also get access to all our exclusive posts, our collected social updates on Friday, access to our back catalog and our endless gratitude for helping to keep these emails coming out.
