This Week's New Beer Labels: IPAs are Hoppy
Share

Happy Wednesday, friends. Let’s all get acquired by Tilray this week.

The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:

Obviously the Beer Hug line has been doing well for Goose Island since they keep rolling out variants like this one, which just came through this week.

I’m mostly posting this to note how things have flipped: IPA now basically means “hazy” and “juicy” to most drinkers, so I guess we have to put “Hoppy” on an IPA label now so people aren’t shocked by bitterness when they taste what’s in the can. Imagine trying to explain this beer label to someone from 2009.

Up next for our Premium Subscribers: Honestly we’re in a bit of a mid-August lull, but it looks like Costco is getting ready to roll out a new line of boozy products if some of the labels we found are any indication…
