Happy New Label Wednesday! The only state we skipped this week is Ohio, which apparently took a little extra label-submission time off in advance of the Labor Day weekend. Our Illinois label of the week is technically barely a beer due to its NA status but whatever, let’s get spooky!
Free subscribers get access to the first IL label as usual, but all of our paid subscribers will get to see a brand new feature: The IPA Of the Week Award! “IPA” in this case meaning Intellectual Property Appropriation, of course. Still workshopping that name a bit.
Anyways, We have not just a winner but also a runner-up for the week! Find out what two movie franchises and two international beer brands are having their IP stepped on, as well as beers about lawn tennis, a Beastie Boys reference, a new-to-the-Midwest brand of Ethiopian-inspired beers, plus something from New Belgium/Bell’s that I really really hope isn’t what I think it is!
