Hi, friends - here we are again at a Label Wednesday. Hope your week is going well. If you need something to brighten your day, how about an Akari Shogun from Half Acre? They very slyly announced its availablility yesterday:

I always loved this hoppy wheat ale when it was in wide release (loved their old can art, too) and I haven’t seen it out in what seems like forever. Untappd has a handful of checkins over the past few years - old cans, maybe? - so I dont know how many times it’s emerged over the past decade, but either way, it’s back once again and I’m happy about it.

Otherwise, that news has nothing to do with…

The New Illinois Beer & Beverage Labels of the Week:

Saison Day is coming up on Saturday, so I’m very glad to have a well-timed new saison label to show you this week - a collaboration between More Brewing and Sundial Brewing & Blending. It’s also worth noting that Revolution sent through a keg label submission for a white-wine-barrel-aged saison of their own, so keep an eye out for that.

And on the absolute other side of the spectrum, a bonus IL label…

A decade past the peak of Not Your Father’s Root Beer, it looks like Diageo may be trying to make hard soda happen again. This is just one of the Stoop Dayz labels submitted this week; Trademarkia clocked the USPTO submission for the brand a couple of months ago but other than that, there’s very little about this potential new line of beverages from one of the world’s biggest beverage companies, all in planning in Plainfield.

Up next for our Premium Subscribers: A Citrus Surfer, a Cake Czar, some Tall Tails, a Toasty Bandit, a beer for Jason Voorhees, and something for the Packers fans among us.

Premium Subscribers get access to all these labels plus exclusive posts, social updates on Friday, access to our back catalog and our gratitude for helping to keep these emails coming out.
