Howdy, friends! I’m getting ready for a little travel this week and next — more on this on Friday — but my packing and prepping doesn’t get in the way of label-hunting.
Premium Subscribers this week will see the Midwest’s next new heritage-style lager, an early-but-not-really brown ale, an Old Saundustee and some Electric Jelly, plus two beer labels with a pro wrestling connection or reference.
But first, like a grade school birthday celebration, I’ve brought something for the entire class:
The New Illinois Beer Label(s) of the Week:
Phase Three has produced both of these beers in the past, but it looks like they’re both getting a refresh for this year to add the Elmhurst location and the logo for Save-A-Pet. If you love Nelson Sauvin hops you’re going to want to opt for the Doggone Delish DDH DIPA but I’ll be opting for the blend in the Feline Fine.
Either way, supporting a pet-friendly charity is a nice extra.
