Hello, friends - welcome to another Beverage Label Wednesday! Today, we get our first package-label look from a previously-draft-only Illinois brewery, which is always exciting. By default, that makes this first image …
The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:
Bloomington’s Casper Brewing Company has been submitting keg rings to the TTB since July of 2021, but so far as I can tell, they’ve never sent through a package label … until now.
This Abruham Drinkin’ Lincoln Lager has more ideas packed onto one pint can than most breweries have for a mixed 12-pack, which I find kind of charming. They’re throwing everything at the wall with this one and a lot of it sticks.
I’m also reminded of a similarly punny beer from the no-longer-with-us Rolling Meadows Brewing: Lincoln’s Logger which we wrote up way back in 2013.
Up next for our Premium Subscribers: Two kinds of Union beer! Banana cream pie and a god complex! Big Boy! Loco boys! King Kong! And a beer that sounds like a disease!
Premium Subscribers get access to all these labels plus exclusive posts, social updates on Friday, access to our back catalog and our gratitude for helping to keep these emails coming out.
