This Week's New Beer Labels: Brandy, You're a Fine Label

Howdy, label-loving friends! Hot on the heels of the newest Rev barrel-aged labels comes this late entry, which I’ve decided is…

The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:

“Silken spice with apple reverie.” That’s just fun wordsmithing there, Revolution. Untappd shows that this has recently been brought back at the taproom, and I definitely think this label is a visual improvement over the previous version.

But we’re not done with apple brandy yet, because…

Batavia’s Grainology Brewstillery submitted a label for a vodka this week, and I thought it might be their first label ever sent through, but after a bit of digging I found (among a couple other offerings) this Apple Brandy label that came through about a month ago. All their labels thus far have been spirits related; will keep an eye out for the first beer label that pops up from them (assuming one does).

Up next for our Premium Subscribers: Rice rice rice! A pint of mild! A DJing cartoon bear! A coffee stout from the past! A new oenobeer and another dang heritage-style light lager!

Are you not a Premium Subscriber yet? Why not, friend? You’ll get access to all these labels plus exclusive posts, social updates on Friday, access to our back catalog and our gratitude for helping to keep these emails coming out. Join us for about $1 per week:
