This Week's New Beer Labels: Art, Corn, Havoc and a Champango
Powered by arrangements of words that have never happened before
Last week, our Premium Subscribers got to see the first new label that Virtue Cider had submitted in nearly two years. This week, while it’s not a new label, I wanted to share something else fun from Virtue. I took a spin through their site and landed on their Spirit Barrel page for the first time.
Looks like those Goose connections paid off, as I’m seeing some very fun looking ciders that saw aging in former Bourbon County Stout barrels. Most interesting to me is the variety aged in 2021 Birthday BCBS barrels, which was one of their most standout offerings of the past decade IMO.
Not sponsored or anything; just something cool I spotted and thought y’all might be interested in. And now for something completely different:
The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:
Very cool of 93 Octane to expose their drinkers (most of whom are in the Western Suburbs, I assume) to an artist that may be unfamiliar to them. Like me! I had not previously heard of Sir Michael Rocks - a Matteson native - but now I have. Maybe this is planting the seeds for another Emporium Halloween Bash?
Up next for our Premium Subscribers: MAGA Vodka, creamed corn, Harley events, Havoc, a bigger version of a Little, and a Golden Road via the Badger State.
