Howdy, friends — and happy Beer Label Wednesday. Premium Subscribers have a number of “firsts” behind the paywall, including a number of breweries I’ve not showcased in this email or even seen a label from before. Always fun when that happens.
There are also not one but two interesting whiskey labels in here, one that’s very WTF and one made for a specific place in Chicago, but was bottled & blended in Wisconsin, and distilled in Indiana. Oh, and we have a look at the newest brand getting ready to launch (this week!) out of Pilot Project.
There’s another “first” for everyone this week, though, and it’s in the form of…
The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:
This is the first beer label I’ve seen for Analytical Brewing in downstate Lexington, which is approaching their 2nd anniversary next month. If you’re unfamiliar (as I was), the Illinois Brewing site has a nice little feature on their backstory.
This beer comes courtesy of Church Street and appears to be timed perfectly for party-barge drinking on Lake Bloomington (the Green Gables logo on the label is for a bar, restaurant and grocery store nearby). It’s too bad Empirical Brewing isn’t still around; I feel like they could have had a nice little science-y collab session sometime.
Welcome to the package market, Analytical!
