Happy Wednesday, friends. I hope you’re enjoying drinking beer in October. It’s among my very favorite beer drinking months, as its when styles like porter, brown ale, pumpkin ale and others just hit a little bit harder (for me).

For example, every Edmund Fitzgerald porter I’ve ever had has been delicious … but the Ed Fitz I had last weekend was even better than usual. The power of October. Harness it. Enjoy it. Cheers. It’s label time.

The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:

I’ve always liked Church Street’s stained-glass style on their labels, and you rarely see a straight-ahead Belgian-style strong ale (9%!) in package these days.

This is the kind of beer that you’re able to drink fast and have it go straight to your head and then you make mistakes with your life. Probably the kind of mistakes that the demon guy on the above label has a little bit of influence over.
