Happy Label Wednesday, friends! What if we kissed by the fenugreek bushes? Trees? Plants? IDK but it’s part of…
The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:
I’ve been seeing a handful of new barrel-aged beer labels emerging from Pipeworks over the past few weeks, but this one caught my eye as being one of the more interesting to pop up: A wee heavy? With vanilla and fenugreek? Aged in bourbon barrel and maple syrup barrels? Hell yeah. Let’s get weird.
If you’ve never cooked with fenugreek, it’s an interesting flavor component - with the sweetness of maple on the nose but also a very celery-like vegetal note on the palate as well. Since Pipeworks also offers up the occasional celery beer I bet they know how to maximize on what that herb can offer a beer.
Last Kiss has been part of the Pipeworks roster going back over a decade but this looks like it would be its first release in over five years.
