Before we get to the labels, I wanted to make you aware of an event that’s happening tomorrow night: A fundraiser for Keeping Together taking place at Four Moon Tavern in Roscoe Village.
They’re donating 100% of the proceeds from draft beer sales and 20% of the proceeds from food/bottles/cans/other booze purchases to offset the nearly-half-million-dollar losses that Keeping Together suffered following the closure of their brewhouse equipment provider. (More here.)
Not that you should need another reason to stop by Four Moon but the draft list is pretty great and they’re raffling off a bunch of prizes as well, so go drink a beer or three and help a former Chicago beer brand keep going.
The New Illinois Beer Label of the Week:
Not gonna lie - I saw a lot of holiday beers come through the TTB this week. I’ll hold off on sharing those until we get past Labor Day but for now, I’m loving this Roaring Table “festival ale” label. Who says every _____-toberfest beer needs to be a German-style lager?
Up next for our Premium Subscribers: Beers (and a couple hard teas) boasting flavors of strawberry, raspberry, lemon-lime, pineapple, Tiger’s Blood and more! All that fruit and it’s currently late August? Did these get lost in the mail somehow?
